He eats three squares a day, so we've cut back nursing/pumping from 7 to 5 times per day. He has been dining on squash, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, rice, applesauce, bananas, carrots, avocado, mango, and broccoli--so far. .
And FINALLY he's sleeping through the night, not 5-6 hours, but TEN hours without the comfort of nursing!!! It kind of happened naturally. We had the discussion and were planning to start letting him cry it out in the middle of the night, but Karen just kept pushing the time she would go get him until his peeps stopped turning into cries. Pretty soon we're going to move him out of our "closet" and into his own room on the other side of the apartment.
He can sit up without any support or help. He can stand by himself holding onto us or some other sturdy object and when he falls he lands on his butt--most of the time. He tries to pull himself up. He doesn't seem very interested in crawling yet and he still hates tummy time, of course we do it anyway. He is on target with all his age appropriate milestones... babbles, passing toys from hand to hand, rolling over, looking for dropped toys, picking up cheerios, etc....
Karen has been very busy knitting Theo sweaters, mittens, and hats to keep up with his rate of growth. He'll be 9 months on November 10; he weighs over 20 lbs and is about 30 inches long! Depending on the clothing brand he wears 12-18 months or 18-24 month sizes!! Karen even knit him a cat hat for Halloween--very subtle costume.
He LOVES to play and thinks the cats are the cat's meow.
Theo adores his Daddy and Moss just can't get enough of Theo. Karen's Dad was here for a visit while on a business trip. We went Goose Island Brewing Co for dinner and delicious beer.
We hope you all are well and as happy as we are!! xoxoxo
