7 Months

We’re officially in the third trimester!!! We’re 7 months. We know, it’s hard to believe. Everything is going well, so far. The Bradley classes we’ve been taking are definitely preparing us for natural childbirth. We have learned so much about the best nutrition for baby and mom, relaxation techniques, exercises to “train” for labor, birthing options, medications, complications, phases of labor, and much more! We are confident we can do it drug-free (as long no complications arise)! Karen has been feeling great aside from sleeping discomforts. We’ve got the nursery set-up and we are still searching for daycare. Chicagoans, any suggestions?

We have finally decided and put together a list what kind of baby goods we want and need. We figured it is best to let anyone who is interested in buying gifts know what we are looking for. We started an online registry to help you get a feel for the items we most need, and styles we like (http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/baby/3NP28PVCZXRUF). Of course you should not feel limited to this list, we especially appreciate any homemade/knit/crochet blankets, quilts or clothing. We appreciate any thoughts, ideas, or recommendations anyone has about the items we have, or have not selected.

Our favorite colors are dark browns (mocha, chocolate), spring greens (olive, sap), deep oranges, dark blues and purples. We’re not big fans of pastel colors, so please stay away from the traditional pink/blue palettes.

We have been lucky enough to have received some gifts already, and have made some purchases ourselves. We already have the following:
Crib
Wall art or room decorations
Safety gates
Stuffed animals
Pack n' play
Bottles
Car seat
Stroller
